If you are considering cosmetic treatments in Spokane or Spokane Valley, we want to make sure that your options are affordable. Most of the cosmetic treatments we offer are moderate in price, making it easy for people to fit into their budget. With recurring treatments, the cost is regular and we can help you plan your treatments to fit in with your budget.
Does Insurance Cover Skin Care?
Although skin care does provide many medical benefits, including the control of acne, the potential reduction of skin cancer risk, and the psychological benefit of a healthy appearance, medical insurance doesn’t generally cover skin care procedures such as facials, dermabrasion, microdermabrasion, and Ultherapy.
Sometimes these skin care procedures are not covered because they are considered simply cosmetic. This means they are also not eligible for payment under flexible spending accounts. Other times, these procedures are considered investigational and experimental for certain conditions, such as acne.
We accept several types of payment for cosmetic treatments, including cash, check, and credit card.
Financing Cosmetic Treatments
If you are unable to fit your treatment into your budget, we may be able to offer financing for you. We work with two different patient financing companies: CareCredit and Lending Club.
Care Credit issues you a healthcare credit card. It’s a special account dedicated just to health, beauty, and wellness expenses with some beneficial terms.
- No interest if paid in full: for expenses of at least $200, you can take 6, 12, 18, or 24 months to pay at no interest, depending on the amount
- A 14.9% APR with fixed monthly payments. With purchases of $1000 or more, you can do repayment over a period of 24, 36, or 48 months. Expenses $2500 or more can be repaid over a period of 60 months.
The CareCredit terms that are available for your procedure depend on the exact procedure and the amount.
Lending Club is a more traditional financing option. It can be used to finance as little as $499 or as much as $50,000. However, at this time, most cosmetic treatments are not covered under Lending Club, which mostly works with dentistry, fertility, hair restoration (not hair removal), and bariatric surgery. We work with the company for our cosmetic dentistry patients and hope that they will extend their financing options to our cosmetic patients.
